Breaking Bad "Ozymandias"

My piece on the third to last episode of Breaking Bad, "Ozymandias," is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

Rian Johnson may spell his christian name like dick and he may not always kill it as a feature director (I love Looper but Brick and Brothers Bloom are diabetes-levels of cutesy to me) but he has directed some of this show's best episodes ever.

Breaking Bad - "To'hajiilee"

My review of "To'hajiilee," the fourth to last episode of Breaking Bad, is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

So when does Michelle McLaren get to direct feature?

My piece on S5E12 of Breaking Bad, "Rabid Dog," is up at spinetingler.

So could we at least get a web video or something of Badger's theories on Battlestar Galactica?  Maybe he could talk about that episode where the guy who looks like Mr White shows up...

Breaking Bad "Blood Money"

My piece on Breaking Bad S5E9 "Blood Money" is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

Yes, the most memorable bit from this episode will deservedly be fan-favorite Badger's Star Trek pitch but don't sleep on Saul referring to Jesse as Woody Harrelson...

Breaking Bad - "Gliding Over All"

My piece on Breaking Bad's final episode of season five part I, "Gliding Over All," is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

They really broke the bank on source music this season, didn't they?  Not to a (say it with me) Sopranos level but still, lots of pricey songs this year, relatively.

Breaking Bad - "Say My Name"

My recap of episode seven of season five part one of Breaking Bad is up at spinetingler.

Breaking Bad - "Buyout"

My recap of "Buyout," the latest episode of Breaking Bad, is up at spinetingler.

If there's anybody out there who has a problem with what's been going down on BB as of late:

1) Explain to me what that could even possibly be

2) Kill yourself

Breaking Bad - "Dead Freight"

My review of Breaking Bad season five part I's fifth episode, "Dead Freight," is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

After last week's very fine character episode we get a pretty explosive and plot-heavy one.  Shit is really picking up on BB, folks!

Breaking Bad - "Fifty-One"

My piece on "Fifty-One," the fourth episode of Breaking Bad season five part i, is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

Is anyone else weirded out that only one year has passed in the Breaking Bad universe?  Seems too short of a span for how much has happened.  Then again, every episode of Deadwood was one day...

Breaking Bad - "Hazard Pay"

My piece on episode three of season five (part I!) of Breaking Bad called "Hazard Pay" is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

Gotta love seeing Skinny Pete and Badger again, even if they almost feel like they're from a different show at this point.  There's an idea for a spin-off!

Breaking Bad - "Madrigal"

My coverage of Breaking Bad season five part i continues with my piece on "Madrigal," the second episode of the season.

Check that shit out HERE.

Another episode where creator Vince Gilligan got the script credit.  Does he even have a writing staff anymore?

Breaking Bad - "Live Free or Die"

My post on season five part one's first episode of Breaking Bad, "Live Free or Die," is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out HERE.

Vince Gilligan, who directed the final two episodes of the previous season, did a hell of a job at the helm of this one too.

Breaking Bad - "Face Off"

My piece on "Face Off," the season finale of Breaking Bad, is up at spinetingler.

Read that shit HERE.

Nice direction from Gilligan in this one, especially liked the numerous badass front-facing tracking shots, Gus' entrance into the nursing home even putting some funky, modern Morricone music on there to make it feel like the end of a Leone movie.

Breaking Bad - "End Times"

My review of the penultimate episode of season four of Breaking Bad, "End Times," is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit out here.

Vince Gilligan directed himself directed this episode and man oh man did he bust out some style with it.

What is it with show creators flashily directing "big" episodes of their shows? David Chase and Matthew Weiner are major offenders on Sopranos and Mad Men.

Breaking Bad - "Crawl Space"

My piece on "Crawl Space," the latest episode of Breaking Bad, is up at spinetingler.

Check it out HERE.

Nice to have Bill Burr back again, this time with a lot more to do as he very coolly tells Beneke how it's gonna be. ("If you don't have cable...it's gonna suck.")

Here's hoping we see more of him

Breaking Bad - "Salud"

My review of "Salud," the latest episode of Breaking Bad, is up at spinetingler.

Check that shit HERE.

Things I have recently learned:

Don Eladio was played by Steven Bauer, AKA Tony Montana's best friend who boned Tony's little sister in Scarface.

Ted Beneke is played by Christopher Cousins who also played Robert Lindus on Terriers.
