Justified - "Blind Spot"

My review of "Blind Spot," the latest episode of Justified, is up at spinetingler.

Check it out right HERE.

My favorite episode of the season so far, but if the show keeps the serialization train rolling right the fuck along, it could be knocked from that lofty perch awfully fucking soon...

Breaking Bad - "Sunset"

My review of "Sunset," the latest episode of Breaking Bad, is up at spinetingler.

Read my raving HERE.

And you better believe I fucking rave about this episode, dear reader.

I mean, how could I not? Fucking Badger's back. Enough said.

The Square by Nash Edgerton

My review of The Square by Nash Edgerton is up at spinetingler.

You'd be well-fucking-served to give that a look-see.

More badass crime shit coming out of Australia, dear reader.

Such nasty shit you'd think the country was founded by criminals or something...

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans by Werner Herzog

My review of Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is up at spinetingler.

Give it a look right HERE.

I know they wanted to differentiate the film from the Keitel film, but that title is un-fucking-wieldy.

I should remake my blog as Nerd of Noir: St Paul Minnesota.

Justified - "The Collection"

My review of the latest episode of Justified is up at spinetingler.

Check it out right HERE.

I think Tony Hale (Buster from Arrested Development) had the best line of the night with, "JFK was alive for hours!"

The head wound he was referring to was a pretty surprising way to go to commercial as well...

Horns by Joe Hill

My review of Horns by Joe Hill is up at spinetingler.

Give it a look-see HERE.

You've probably heard of Horns and Heart-Shaped Box, but Hill's 20th Century Ghosts is a kick-fucking-ass short story collection.

Somehow the words "kick" and "ass" don't have the descriptive power they once did now that the movie made it okay for literally every-fucking-body to use the phrase.

No More Heroes by Ray Banks

My review of the third novel in the Cal Innes series, No More Heroes, by Ray Banks is up at spinetingler.

Check it out HERE.

Hell, if you clickety-fucking-click on Ray's name down in the "labels" at the bottom of this post, you'll find reviews of all the Innes novels.

Yeah, they're fairly fucking positive, I suppose.

Breaking Bad - "Mas"

My review of "Mas," the latest episode of Breaking Bad, is up at spinetingler.

Marvel at my insight HERE.

To pat myself on the back some more, how about that hilarious picture of Odenkirk?

Saul had some choice lines about a five foot tall "chiropractor" tonight. Somebody's gotta put the Bob back in the moviefilms, toot-fucking-sweet.

Ravens by George Dawes Green

My review of Ravens by George Dawes Green is up at spinetingler.

Read that shit HERE.

I hate to be the guy who cries "spoiler alert," dear reader, but in order to truly give you a clear picture of my opinion on this beast, it had to be done.

Sometimes you just gotta be that guy...

Justified - "The Lord of War and Thunder"

My review of the latest episode of Justified is up at spinetingler.

Find that shit here.

"The Lord of War and Thunder" finally introduced us to Arlo, Ray's degenerate old man.

That said, he's not quite as much of a degenerate as I thought he'd be...

Breaking Bad - "Green Light"

My review of the latest episode of Breaking Bad is up at spinetingler.

You can find that shit HERE.

Just when you thought Walt couldn't get any more pathetic, this episode happens.

But then again, Hank is holding his own in that department lately as well.

Happy days in sunny Alberquerque, ladies and gents.

Mother by Bong Joon-ho

My review of the new South Korean crime flick Mother from cult director Bong Joon-ho of The Host fame is up at spinetingler.

Give it a look here.

Reminds me a lot of the very under-rated flick The Deep End starring the world's hottest alien, Tilda Swinton.

Mmm...World's Hottest Alien...

Justified - "Long in the Tooth"

My review of episode four of Justified is up at spinetingler.

To read it, simply click here.

Clarence Williams III was really good in this episode. His main purpose was just to make a could've-been-weak minor plot point amusing, but he pulled it off nicely, was very funny.

Not "Samson in Half Baked" funny, but funny all the same.

Breaking Bad - "I.F.T."

My review of episode three of season three of Breaking Bad is up at Spinetingler.

Give it a look right HERE.

"I.F.T." is a pretty awesome title for this episode, but if it'd been up to the Nerd it would have been called "!Viva Tortuga!"

Besides, the last few episode titles were spanish. Why not run with that shit?
